The preschool has begun to look like a winter wonderland thanks to our recent snowman theme.

We read the books There was a Cold Lady Who Swallowed Some Snow and Snowman At Night. The students helped that cold lady swallow many items to make a snowman. They also chose what they wanted their snowman to do at night.

During math class, the students counted snowballs and snowmen. The students also created pictures by putting numbers in the correct order.

During reading time, we made snowmen by using snowballs with similar beginning letter sounds. We also made name snowman.  The students also wrote letters and their names in snow (shaving cream).

Our sensory table was filled with pretend snow.  The students were encouraged to scoop it, shovel it, and also had trucks and snow plows to drive through it.

During arts and crafts, we made several types of snowmen using all different materials including paint, paper, and model magic.

Some samples of our arts and crafts projects. The students used ripped up paper to make a snowman's face. They also made a snowman in a snow globe using fingerpaint.
